About the Role

Amazon is investing heavily in Generative AI and the responsible development of Large Language Models (LLMs) to transform how humans interact with technology. As an ML Data Associate-II, you will play a key role in labeling and annotating multimodal data (text, speech, audio, image, video) to train AI/ML systems.

This is a fixed-term contractual position for 12 months, offering you the opportunity to work at the intersection of AI innovation, data labeling, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive customer and business data.
• Work with diverse data formats including text, audio, speech, image, and video.
• Deliver high-quality labeled data using in-house tools, meeting project KPIs.
• Evaluate dialogue and content across multiple modalities to support AI models.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in labeling tasks.
• Switch effectively between different annotation categories and requirements.
• Provide daily operational deliverables across multiple assigned task types.
• Perform root cause analysis of errors and recommend improvements.
• Identify and suggest process and SOP enhancements for smoother execution.
• Support internal team queries and mentor floor operations as needed.

A Day in the Life

As an ML Data Associate-II, you will:

• Execute foundational labeling tasks (dialogue evaluation, data annotation).
• Maintain high attention to detail while working on confidential AI projects.
• Collaborate with a diverse team focused on building innovative Generative AI solutions.
• Balance multi-tasking while delivering accurate and consistent outputs.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong business writing and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business documents and provide structured insights.
• Advanced reading comprehension and analytical thinking.
• Proficient in data interpretation, problem-solving, and task execution.
• Strong research skills, synthesizing data from multiple sources.
• Exceptional attention to detail in handling large volumes of complex data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant professional work experience.
• Proficiency in English (C1+ or equivalent).
• Familiarity with open-source resources, AI/ML research, and annotations.
• Experience with project coordination or stakeholder management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and business applications.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving work environments.
